Registration Problems? [Apr. 12th, 2007|12:08 am]

Is anyone else having problems with registration? I really dislike this new RaiderNet system right now...
It won't allow me to register for any classes that require a pre-req. that I'm currently enrolled in. Arg!

Free cat [Dec. 21st, 2006|12:07 pm]

Hi everyone. I have a cat I need to find a home for. My family recently moved and can't have pets in the new place, and my apartments don't allow them either. His name is Obi-wan (of Stars Wars fame, because I really am that nerdy). He's three years old, around 15 pounds, litterbox-trained, up-to-date on shots, nuetered, and very loving. He's currently mostly an indoor cat, and I'd prefer for him to stay so, as he was declawed as a kitten and can't defend himself. I'll try to find pictures of him, but if I can't he's a gray tabby.

If interested just comment here or e-mail me @ ketj2 at mtsu dot edu.

Any Widespread Panic fans here?

I am looking for a few volunteers to help promote the show at Municipal Auditorium on Friday, October 6th. It's a one-two hour time commitment at the max, and free tickets to the show are available for those who help out.

If you are interested, please email Scott ASAP at scott.santos@musictoday.com. More information will be emailed to interested volunteers.

Do you drive to Nashville to go out? [Aug. 23rd, 2006|06:09 am]

Thanks to all who responded to my "bars in Murfreesboro" question. You all have been incredibly helpful! Now that I know where the bars here are, I have another question. Where are the people? I know there are more people living here that like to go out, so I am assuming that many of you are going to Nashville to party. Is there anyway to get there without having to drive? I drove in Saturday night, but I would have liked to have had more than one beer. I saw that there is a bus service available during the day on weekdays. Is there something similar during the evening or a shuttle? I know I probably sound like a moron, but I am used to living outside Pittsburgh. We had to drive there, but rarely went because of the abundance of bars at WVU.

In other news, I will be hitting up the area bars and begging for work this week. I heard about an ABC certification. Does anyone know what the deal is with that? Sorry for flooding with so many questions, but I don't know anyone here really.

Thanks in advance! Hopefully I'll meet some of you in person at some point and I can repay you for your helpfulness with beer. ;)

So I just moved to Murfreesboro from out-of-state. Is it just be or are there not any bars here?

Principles of MANAGEMENT [Aug. 15th, 2006|05:29 pm]

Are you taking Principles of Management this fall?

Dont pay ridiculous bookstore prices. $57 for a used book? That's crazy!
I have a copy in great condition (almost new, no marks tears or other damage, just slight wear to the edges because it's a large paperback) I'll sell you for $25. Less than half the price, and if you take care of it I bet you can sell it to someone the next semester for at least that much.. essentially free to you, yay! Help other students save more, stop the bookstore extortion.

Reply if interested.

I have a white, dial-timer, dorm-safe microwave that I would like to get rid of. It's clean, still works well, and I'm only getting rid of it cause I'm moving to Scarlett. (yay for having a kitchen!) I'd like to sell it for $40. I'm moving in for band camp (that's a week early for those not in the know), so I can give it to you when you move in.

Takers?

Anyone here taken Music History with either Miyakawa or Shearon? MTSU Review only has three reviews for Shearon, and I'm debating taking Music History III in the fall just because I think my schedule is too light. Shearon's reviews aren't too great, though, and I can only get in to his section of it. Either way, I'm going to take the class eventually, so any opinions on whose class I should try to get in would be helpful.

Need somewhere to live ASAP! [Jul. 6th, 2006|07:37 pm]

My fiance and I are relocating to Tennessee from West Virginia. Our lease is up July 31, so we'd need a place by August 1. We prefer to live in the Smyrna area, as I need to be in Murfreesboro and he needs to be in Nashville, so we'd like to split the difference. We are looking for a non-college neighborhood (he's 28, I'm 26) since we live in downtown Morgantown (at WVU) now, and we are a little sick of the crazy drunkenness.

We would also prefer a house or duplex, but we'll settle for an apartment complex if we have to. Any ideas?

BTW- we also have two cats.
Thanks!!

i have a membership to the MAC in murfreesboro that i am desperatly trying to get rid of. if you want one, or know someone that does, please let me know. it would only be $50 to transfer, instead of costing you over $100 to sign up, and the payments are only $30 a month.

thanks!
